Tough times call for tough decisions and all decisions involve some element of risk.  After over two years of retrenchment many of us are now, for the first time in a long time, having to make decisions about how to move forward again.

Decisions are required to be made in business regarding capital investments, reorganizations, changing ways of working, promotions, training and so on. Understandably, in the light of the recent past and the current uncertainty we may tend to be overcautious, inclined to favour inaction over action, over-analysis in preference to decisiveness.

Bear in mind however that all the great achievers have always known instinctively that the time to move ahead is actually before they feel completely ready. So if the time has come for you, the options have been considered, the risks and rewards have been weighted up and it is time to move forward – take action now!

You can always course-correct while moving forward if necessary rather than waiting for everything to be just right before moving ahead and missing your opportunity.
